The Farmington Senior/Disabled Transportation Services is dedicated to provide transportation opportunities for senior and/or disabled residents within the towns of Farmington and Unionville.

DIAL-A-RIDE

Dial-A-Ride Information & Application

General Information:

  • For persons over 60 and/or disabled
  • $100 per year for each participant or $150 per couple per year - discounted rates available
  • Medical appointments are given priority and may be reserved two weeks in advance
  • Shopping and/or other trips (i.e. banking) may be reserved 24-48 hours in advance only
  • To schedule a ride, participant must call Dial-a-Ride directly; any special needs, i.e. wheelchair, etc. should be requested at this time
  • Service may be cancelled due to inclement weather

  • Farmington/Unionville
  • Avon
  • Valley Mall
  • Westfarms area

Additional Service:

  • Farmington and Avon provide numerous planned outings and shopping trips though a DOT grant

Greater Hartford Transit District:

  • Persons may apply for "ADA" services under the Americans with Disabilities Act. This covers persons who by reason of disability or infirmity cannot access public transportation within ¾ mile of their residence.
