Farmington Recreation and the Farmington Youth Lacrosse Club have teamed up to offer Girls and Boys Developmental Lacrosse for those in kindergarten through grade 2. For more information please email FYLC.  

Per Connecticut General Statutes, Connecticut Youth Athletic Leagues are required to provide information on the signs, symptoms, nature and the risks of concussions.  Information can be found here.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Girls K - 2 Developmental Lacrosse

  • FYLC Developmental Girls Lacrosse is a non-competitive program with an emphasis on teaching and developing lacrosse skills in a fun team setting.
  • The program includes two practices per week and occasional informal weekend games within Farmington and with local towns.
  • Season will begin in April (Date TBD, Weather Permitting).
  • Jerseys will be provided.
  • Fee includes one-year membership to US Lacrosse (for insurance purposes).
  • EQUIPMENT:  A list of required equipment can be found here.
  • A limited amount of loaner gear is available.  Please email FYLC for details.
  • All registered players will be contacted by email with additional details regarding the start of the season.
  • Farmington Youth Lacrosse relies on parent volunteers for coaching and other help.  No experience is necessary, and plenty of guidance is available! Contact farmingtonyouthlax@gmail.com to learn more.
  • Players in grades 3 - 8 may register directly with the Farmington Youth Lacrosse Club at www.farmingtonlax.org.
