The Farmington Economic Development Business & Breakfast Series is an annual quarterly networking breakfast, featuring the most dynamic business professionals in the Hartford area, generously sponsored by M&T Bank.

Sean Scanlon is Connecticut's 67^th State Comptroller and began his term January 2023. As Comptroller, Sean's serves as our state's fiscal watchdog and chief financial officer. His office provides accounting and financial services, administers employee and retiree benefits, and prepares financial reports for state, federal and municipal governments, and the public.

Prior to his election as Comptroller, Sean served as the State Representative for the 98^th District for four terms. In the General Assembly, he was a champion for health care reform, a passion rooted in his own life experiences coming from a family that was often uninsured or underinsured. While in the House, Sean was Chair of the legislature’s Insurance Committee and the Finance, Revenue and Bonding committee. Outside of the legislature, Sean previously served as Executive Director of Tweed-New Haven Airport, where he secured a $100 million public-private investment deal, brought in a new air carrier, and created over 100 new community jobs. Sean lives in Guilford with his wife Meghan, who is the President & CEO of the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and their two young sons Jack and Declan.
