- Poll workers must be registered to vote in the State of Connecticut, unless 16 or 17 years old. (If you are 17 years old, but will be 18 years of age by November 7, 2023, you will need to register to vote in order to work).
- All positions require excellent communication skills. Good vision is required. You must be able to read, write, and do basic math (addition, subtraction, counting). Light lifting is required for most positions. Basic computer skills are helpful.
- Poll workers must utilize strong "customer service skills." A pleasant disposition and a positive attitude is a must. Teamwork is also an essential part of the job.
- The shift is from 5:15 am to approximately 9:00 pm. We do have some half-day shifts available.
- These positions include training and are paid positions (for training time & time worked at the polls).
